Quantity Surveyors

About the role

Quantity surveying forms part of Anvelo’s commercial business unit. Quantity surveyor roles are client facing, focusing on preparing quantum and delay claims. Working both autonomously and as part of the broader Anvelo team, you will be tasked with delivering the highest level of contractual advice and contract management services to clients in the construction and infrastructure industry.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Discovery of Causative Events to compile position papers.
  • Compiling of documents.
  • Collating statement of facts.
  • Drafting variation and EOT positions.
  • Collating costs in support of matters.
  • Quantum valuations.
  • Lead contractual negotiations.
  • Review of contract terms and conditions.
  • Prepare contractual departure schedules.
  • Identify, analyse and manage commercial risk

Experience and skills needed:

  • Tertiary qualifications in quantity surveying, construction management or a law related field.
  • Extensive experience in contract management and dispute resolution.
  • Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Experience working for Tier 1 construction contracting companies in Australia.
  • Comprehensive understanding of risk and opportunity management.
  • High level analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent English language skills, including written and verbal.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
  • Effective interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Professional membership association with the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators is preferable.
